Lily & Bloom Hotel

Judging by my recent posts you may probably tell that Tel Aviv is going through a period of cultural, economic and creative bloom, a fact that makes it all the more fun for me to live here. Speaking of blooming, last week during the many extended holidays in the Jewish state I decided to play along with the whole “holiday” theme and take some time off, I checked in to the newest boutique hotel “Lily & Bloom” that opened its Bauhaus doors to the public in June and took that well deserved chill pill.

Lily & Bloom located on Lilienblum street is a reconstruction of a Bauhaus building formerly functioned as a main office of a large local bank and now transformed into a cosy and modern boutique hotel. The design throughout the hotel is inspired by the elements of its architecture combined with plenty of hints of Israel’s history and heritage.

My favorite and most memorable part of the hotel was the patio, or should I say the little tea garden at the back of the lobby where I wrote this post. Having breakfast here will be a great start to your day.

If you wondered who Lily or Bloom are let me solve that for you, as I was told these are fictional characters created by the hotel owners as a word play inspired by the name of the street (Lilienblum that is). When you stay at Lily and Bloom you won’t have to worry about where to party, luckily for you Lilienblum Street is perfect for bar hopping.
