There was a day in the big apple I won’t forget for a while, it wouldn’t stop raining (even though it’s mid summer, go figure this New York weather) my mood was not exactly in zen and not only because I don’t like the rain, but also because New York started to feel a bit overwhelming and perhaps there was a little bit of a home sickness developing.
You girls know that in cases like these nothing lifts our spirits like a pampering visit to a good beauty spa, (and shopping, but that’s a story for another post) I knew that this is what I need in order to improve that gloomy mood of mine. So I hailed a cab to the L Raphael spa at the Four Seasons hotel up town and even though I got there drenched, I was full of hope that this day can only get better…

The 5 star spa is mainly focusing on face and body treatments, the L Raphael brand is known for it’s technologically advanced oxygen treatments created for the very demanding A list clientele (only the likes of Sofia Coppola, Emma Watson, Julianne Moore, Shakira, Tilda Swinton, Meg Ryan, Princess Noor of Jordan, and the list goes on… no big deal right!?) who are using these treatments on a monthly if not a weekly basis, yes they are addictive! The facial treatment lasted a little over an hour in which I enjoyed a gentle peeling, an intensive high-speed jet pressure oxygen treatment, a massage, two masks and a infusion of moisturizers that left my skin rejuvenated as if I was just given a brand new- stress/ age / sun damage -free face. Rejoice!

Luckily for you there’s no need to go all the way to New York to enjoy this uplifting treatment, the L Raphael spas and treatment centers are also located in Tel Aviv, Moscow, Cannes and in several locations in Switzerland. The bad news is: you can’t take home any of their top of the notch facilities but the good news is that you can get yourself some of their wide range products in that tempting orange jar so your skin can glow without schlepping around in the rain.
